If I were to rank the impactful experiences I have had at Children's Hospital at Montefiore, watching Charlie teach a little boy in isolation how to play a ukulele would be at the very top. I will never forget the smile on the little boy's face and the pure joy in his eyes. Also, we do not currently have a music therapist on staff. As we continue our search for funding, the donations and in-person lessons from the Mangold Foundation really fill that void for our child life program and our pediatric patients.
