Charlie Mangold is Owner and Creative Director of Mangold Music Productions, a state of the art digital recording facility in Greenwich, Connecticut. He received his bachelor’s degree in jazz composition from the New England Conservatory of Music and has trained with some of the world’s most renowned jazz musicians.
As a twenty year veteran in the business, Charlie has scored music for PBS films and major motion pictures, and has written and produced music for finalists from NBC’s The Voice. He is an accomplished writer, arranger, producer, as well as performer; having appeared alongside acts such as Sinead O’Connor, Sheryl Crow, Chaka Kahn, and Tom Petty. Charlie later became a proud member of Musicians on Call, a foundation solely focused on bringing professional musicians into hospitals such as Sloan Kettering Pediatric Center and Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, to perform for the terminally ill. He greatly enjoyed creating music and providing hope for these young children and could not wait to do more.
Charlie later began teaching Music Creation classes in local underprivileged communities. He saw these children come to life as he placed his guitar in their hands and was immediately inspired to create The Mangold Music Foundation. Making way with hopeful dreams of providing instruments and creating music in the lives of underprivileged and terminally ill children, bringing hope and inspiration with every chord.
