Background

Jake served in the United States Marine Corps from 1999-2007. During that time period he served with 4th Force Reconnaissance, 1st Force Reconnaissance and served a combat tour in Iraq 2003.

Jake is a Police Officer with the City Of El Cajon.  His current assignment is the Training Coordinator and Range Master.  He is also assigned to SWAT and is attached to the explosive breaching and entry team.

His previous assignments have included Patrol, Gangs, Terrorism, Field Training Officer, Mobile Field Force, and Wellness/Peer Support Team.

Jake has his level 1 Crossfit Trainer Certification, Crossfit Endurance and Crossfit Kids. His athletic background is in endurance based events, crossfit, and powerlifting.

JodieJodie Grenier

Jodie Grenier is a Connecticut native and former Staff Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps. During her career, Jodie served with, 1st Marine Division, G-2, based out of Camp Pendleton, CA.  Jodie deployed to Kuwait and served as part of the initial push into Baghdad as an Intelligence Collections Chief in 2003 and again in 2004, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving 12 months in Ramadi, Iraq and throughout the Al Anbar Province. She also served as the 1st Marine Division Intelligence Watch Chief. Jodie was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2005. Since her discharge from the Marine Corps, Jodie has worked as a Force Protection and Security Supervisor in Al Kut, Iraq and the Department of State in Kabul, Afghanistan. Currently employed as a Modeling and Simulation Intelligence Analyst for the Marine Corps Battle Simulation Center, Camp Pendleton, CA, she continues to apply her skills and expertise in preparing Marines for deployment.

Jodie is also the Director of Events and Fundraising for the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation. She has been a team runner for the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation Athletic Team since April 2014. She has placed within the top ten percentile of obstacle and trail races and placed first in her division in the 2013 Jogging for Frogmen 5k in San Diego. She earned her first Triple Crown medal in 2014 for completing the Carlsbad Marathon, La Jolla Half Marathon, and America’s Finest City Half Marathon. She will complete her first Sprint Triathlon this November and complete her third Carlsbad Marathon in January 2015. Aside from her own athletic pursuits, she uses her passion of fitness to encourage others. She voluntarily coached colleagues while working abroad in fitness and health. She recently created Uncaged, a motivational blog and Facebook page to broaden her encouragement of attaining personal goals. She continues to mentor local women aspiring for greater fitness.
